Giving All Students a Chance for Success!
Our students – eager, inquisitive, deserving of success Amidst great stress in their community, our students (K-6) are thirsty for the opportunity to become independent, successful learners – gaining the tools they need to be successful in school and beyond. Our tutors – experienced reading specialists, teachers, & volunteers The LLE team is devoted to equipping children with strong foundations of literacy and leadership because of a deep respect and concern for the well being of the children. |
Our tutoring methods – both researched based and innovative.
LLE tutorials incorporate multi-sensory Orton based methodology into a small group tutorial that offers students the opportunity to lead their peers. Tutorials are characterized by:
Partnering after-school and summer programs – collaborating with LLE literacy experts.
Literacy and more – introducing math and science with a multi-sensory approach
LLE has recently started applying its thorough and logical hands on approach to two new units. The first focuses on early math skills, and the other is an interdisciplinary science and social studies unit for middle school age children. At the heart of all tutorials is the personal attention given to boost skills, confidence, and positive motivation.
Trustees – committed to preserving the integrity of effective tutoring programs in a replicable model
Our intention is to partner with organizations throughout the city to reach greater numbers of children in need!
