Our Students

At the core of our program, our students and their families crave the opportunity for students to gain the skills and confidence necessary for success! People often ask us, "How do you get the kids to learn after a day of school?" In actuality, when LLE tutors walk in the door, students typically swarm around and ask, "Will you tutor me today?"

Even those who start out resistant because of past failures are thrilled by the opportunity to become a successful learner. Our young students feel empowered as tutors encourage them on their quest for skills and confidence. One young five year old boy, initially reluctant on the first day of camp, spontaneously jumped out of his seat in delight when he discovered that all "short a" words make the same sound. He was beginning to break a very important code!
