Volunteer Tutors

Our tutor volunteers are invaluable to LLE tutorials! Volunteers teach and encourage LLE students, giving them the extra attention they need. Volunteers come to us from a variety of schools, organizations, and walks of life.
There is no substitute for the appeal of our volunteers! One student was so impressed by a high school volunteer named Andy who regularly helped her group that she referred to the group as "Andy's group."
Past volunteers have included:
  • College students from area universities including Hopkins University and Notre Dame University
  • High School Students doing community service from local schools including Friends School, Bryn Mawr School, Roland Park Country School, and Gilman School
  • Family members of our students and neighbors who live near our partnering sites

Literacy and Leadership Empowerment Inc.
